Bendigo State Park covers 100 acres in Jones Township, Elk County, Pennsylvania, nestled in a small valley along the East Branch Clarion River, four miles northeast of Johnsonburg off U.S. Route 219.
About 20 acres are developed with a large shaded picnic area, swimming pool open seasonally, playground, basketball and volleyball courts, and three reservable pavilions. The surrounding northern hardwood forest of beech, birch, cherry, and maple supports hiking trails, excellent trout fishing in the restored river once polluted by mine drainage, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife observation in a serene, family-friendly setting.
