Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area is a 2,100‑acre Nevada park on the west bank of the Colorado River in the Laughlin area, directly across from Bullhead City, Arizona, and a few miles downstream from Davis Dam.
The park features about two miles of sandy river shoreline, a clear, cool stretch of the Colorado, and a mix of low‑lying riparian land plus rugged canyons and washes with scenic rock formations. Visitors enjoy camping, picnicking, boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, and hiking on about four miles of trails that run through the developed riverside area and into the backcountry canyons, all within a popular desert‑river playground that is open year‑round and managed by the Nevada Division of State Parks.
