Park
Big Spring State Park covers 45 acres in Toboyne Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania, along PA Route 274 about 5.5 miles southwest of New Germantown, tucked into the side of Conococheague Mountain and maintained by Tuscarora State Forest.
It serves as a quaint picnic and hiking spot with a short loop trail leading to a partially completed railroad tunnel, historic interpretive signs, and access to the Iron Horse Trail for longer day or overnight hikes. Named for the nearby Big Spring whose waters feed scenic Sherman's Creek, the park offers shaded tables, pavilions, and year-round day-use recreation amid surrounding state forest lands, open sunrise to sunset.
