Park
Boiling Springs State Park is an 820-acre oasis on Oklahoma's plains, located six miles northeast of Woodward, named for natural springs that bubble like boiling water due to strong underground flows.
Built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps as one of Oklahoma's original seven state parks, it features a spring-fed 7-acre Lake Shaul for fishing, a swimming pool, an 18-hole golf course, hiking and biking trails, cabins with fireplaces, RV and tent campsites with hookups, group camps, picnic areas, playgrounds, showers, and wildlife viewing of deer, turkey, and bobcats in wooded canyons.
Visitors enjoy year-round activities like volleyball, nature walks, and stargazing amid hackberry and oak forests, drawing over 200,000 people annually to this peaceful retreat.
