Casino
Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino was a small, New Orleans-themed property located at 120 E Flamingo Road near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Opened in 1980 as the Shenandoah Hotel amid licensing delays and financial struggles involving Wayne Newton as a minority investor, it was acquired by Calgary-based Carma Developers in 1981 and rebranded in 1985 as Nevada's first foreign-owned casino with 15,000 square feet of gaming space and 166 rooms. Purchased by Harrah's Entertainment (now Caesars) in 2005 for redevelopment plans, it closed soon after and was demolished between 2005 and 2007, with the site now serving as a parking lot for The Cromwell.
