Brooks Memorial State Park spans 682 acres on the south slopes of the Simcoe Mountains near Goldendale in Klickitat County, Washington, USA, eleven miles northeast of town along Highway 97.
Named for local road pioneer Nelson B. Brooks, this mid-20th-century park blends ponderosa pine and Oregon white oak forests with riparian zones along a Little Klickitat River prong, wildflower meadows, and nine miles of hiking and equestrian trails leading to Mount Hood views.
It offers seasonal camping from mid-April to November with full-hookup RV sites, wall tents, cabins at a retreat center, disc golf, picnicking, birdwatching on the Great Washington State Birding Trail, and proximity to Goldendale Observatory for stargazing.
