Croft State Park covers over 7,000 acres of rolling, wooded terrain in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, near downtown Spartanburg, on the site of a former World War II Army training base known as Camp Croft.
It offers more than 20 miles of biking and hiking trails, including segments of the Palmetto Trail, plus extensive equestrian facilities with over 20 miles of horse trails, 55 stalls, a show ring, and monthly events. Visitors enjoy fishing and boating on two lakes like the 165-acre Lake Craig stocked with bass, bream, catfish, and crappie, tent and RV camping, picnic shelters, a playground, a shooting range, geocaching, birdwatching, and remnants of historic military structures amid diverse wildlife.
