Sold multiple times including to The Siegel Group in 2008 for boutique renovations and then to Tony Hsieh's Downtown Project in 2013, the casino closed permanently on April 14, 2013, with the property later repurposed for events, retail, and non-gaming uses amid downtown revitalization efforts.
