Park
Guy W. Talbot State Park, also known as Latourell State Park, is a peaceful day-use park in the Columbia River Gorge near Troutdale, Oregon, USA, located 12 miles east along the Historic Columbia River Highway (Highway 30) off I-84 Exit 17 or 22.
Donated in 1929 by Guy Webster Talbot, a Pacific Power and Light president, it features a gently sloping grassy hill shaded by Port Orford cedars, Douglas-firs, alders, and maples, with picnic tables, a modern reservable group shelter for up to 200 people (seasonal utilities), restrooms, and frisbee areas amid quiet seclusion.
The main attraction is the trailhead under the highway bridge leading minutes to stunning 250-foot Upper Latourell Falls on Latourell Creek, plus access to nearby Figure-Eight Loops and the town of Latourell, open year-round for free with leashed pets welcome.
