Harrison Lake State Park covers 142 acres around a serene 95-acre lake in Fulton County, northwestern Ohio, three miles southwest of Fayette amid gently rolling agricultural hills.
Created in 1939 by damming Mill Creek—a tributary of the Tiffin River—and opened as a state park in 1950, it was once part of the vast Great Black Swamp, now offering no-wake boating, paddling, fishing for bluegill, largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and bullhead, plus a swimming beach and separate dog beach.
Visitors enjoy 3.5 miles of scenic hiking trails circling the lake, a 173-site campground, disc golf, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, picnicking, summer nature programs, bike rentals, and winter sledding, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing amid shorebirds, songbirds, amphibians, and small mammals.
