L.L. "Stub" Stewart Memorial State Park is a 1,800-acre forested park in Washington County, Oregon, USA, located off Oregon Route 47 near Buxton in the Northern Coast Range foothills, about 30 miles west of Portland.
Opened in 2007 as Oregon's first new full-service park since 1972, it's named for lumberman and parks advocate Loren "Stub" Stewart and connects to the 21-mile paved Banks-Vernonia State Trail, offering nearly 30 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking (15 miles graded green to double-black diamond), equestrian riding, and birdwatching amid Douglas-fir groves and wildflower meadows.
Amenities include RV/tent campsites, cabins, horse camps with corrals, disc golf, playgrounds, picnic areas, restrooms, showers, and stargazing spots, drawing families and outdoor enthusiasts year-round.
