Lyman Run State Park covers 595 acres in Potter County's Ulysses and West Branch Townships, Pennsylvania, nearly surrounded by Susquehannock State Forest and centered on a scenic 45-acre man-made lake stocked with trout.
Named for Major Isaac Lyman, a Revolutionary War veteran and early settler who built the area's first home, road, sawmill, and gristmill in 1809, the park opened in 1955 after dam construction in 1951, with the dam later replaced in 2009. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing, swimming at a beach, 35 wooded campsites with some electric hookups, six miles of hiking trails connecting to an 85-mile forest system, and hunting on 505 acres for deer, bear, turkey, squirrels, and grouse amid northern hardwoods.
