Park
Rainbow Falls State Park is a 129-acre public recreation area along the Chehalis River in Lewis County, Washington, about 1 mile east of Dryad and 17 miles west of Chehalis off State Route 6.
It features a scenic 5-foot waterfall formed by ancient basalt rock, 3,900 feet of river shoreline, and some of the last old-growth Douglas fir, hemlock, and cedar trees in the Chehalis Valley amid a Civilian Conservation Corps-built landscape from 1935. The park offers camping, 3 miles of easy hiking trails like the Towering Timber Trail and Oxalis Loop, fishing, swimming, and access to the Willapa Hills Trail, with modern restrooms but some flood damage history.
