Ricker Pond State Park is a peaceful campground in Groton State Forest, Vermont, on the shores of 95-acre Ricker Pond, developed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps with historic stone picnic tables and log pavilions listed on the National Register.
It offers 26 tent/RV sites, 23 lean-tos, two cottages, five cabins, a sandy beach for swimming, cartop boat launch for canoes and kayaks, fishing, picnicking, flush toilets, hot showers, and access to extensive hiking and biking trails amid hemlock, beech, and birch forests. Open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day near Vermont Route 232, it's a family favorite for its serene waters, loon calls, and proximity to Groton Nature Center programs.
