Today, it has grown into a major tourist destination known for its wide variety of rare and exotic tropical fruits, delicious freshly made smoothies and milkshakes, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Besides the extensive selection of fruits and vegetables mostly grown on their own farms, the site includes an animal farm popular with families, a playground, picnic areas, and live music on weekends and holidays.
The stand is famous for introducing visitors to unique fruits, and Robert himself is known for his warm hospitality and personal recommendations. Despite disasters like Hurricane Andrew in 1992, which destroyed much of the farm and stand, the business was rebuilt and continues to thrive, drawing locals and tourists alike who want to experience authentic tropical flavors and the charm of this iconic roadside market.
