Roosevelt State Park in Morton, Mississippi, covers 550 acres around the 150-acre Shadow Lake at the edge of Bienville National Forest, offering boating, fishing for bass and catfish, and scenic views from overlooks amid colorful fall foliage.

Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and named for President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it features an 18-hole disc golf course, tennis courts, a swimming pool with waterslide, nature trails, picnic areas, cabins, RV campsites, a lodge, and a performing arts center. Conveniently off Interstate 20 between Jackson and Meridian, the park provides year-round recreation managed by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
