Sitka Sedge State Natural Area is a 357-acre coastal preserve in Tillamook County, Oregon, USA, north of Pacific City at the southern end of Sand Lake Estuary, encompassing tidal marshes, mudflats, dunes, forested wetlands, and oceanfront.
Established in 2014 after decades of local preservation efforts against development like a proposed golf course, it opened to the public in 2018 with 3 to 4.5 miles of easy hiking trails forming loops through diverse habitats named for the native Sitka sedge grass.
A day-use site managed by Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, it offers wildlife viewing of herons, eagles, otters, salmon, and rare species like snowy plovers in protected areas, plus beach access, picnic spots, restrooms, and interpretive displays amid serene estuaries and forested dunes.
