Springbrook State Park spans 930 acres of rolling hills, mature timber, and a 17-acre spring-fed lake along the Middle Raccoon River in Guthrie County near Yale and Guthrie Center, west-central Iowa, USA.
Acquired by the state in 1926 and originally called King's Park, its rustic stone shelters, lodge, and structures built by Civilian Conservation Corps workers in the 1930s are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors enjoy over 12 miles of hiking trails through oak-maple-hickory woodlands and prairies, fishing and kayaking on the lake, a sandy beach for swimming, modern camping with electric sites and showers, the reservable Sherburne House cabin for groups, picnicking, and abundant wildlife year-round.
