Originally opened in 1979 as the Colorado Club by Tom Ward and Ed Nigro, it pioneered Nevada's first slot players' club in 1986, was acquired by Archon Corporation in 2004, and rebranded under new ownership by The New Pioneer, LLC in 2018 after a refurbishment that removed live table games in favor of electronic blackjack, roulette, and bubble craps.
