Donated by DuPont in 1984 to protect diverse plants, wildlife, and cultural heritage, this National Wild and Scenic River area features steep terrain, bottomlands, rich woodlands with hickory, oaks, tulips, and nearly 700 plant species. Visitors enjoy deer hunting on 1,220 acres, trout fishing stocked by the state in the creek and branches, a 3-mile hiking trail connecting to Delaware trails, and serene exploration of forests, marshes, and free-flowing waters.
