Coyote Creek State Park lies in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico, 17 miles north of Mora along State Highway 434 in Guadalupita Canyon at 7,700 feet elevation.
Nestled amid spruce, pine, oak forests, meadows, and meandering Coyote Creek with beaver dams and ponds, it offers prime fly fishing for trout, a 2-mile loop trail with suspension bridges for hiking and biking, abundant wildflowers, and wildlife viewing.
The park provides 37 shaded campsites with electric hookups, modern restrooms, showers, group shelters, a playground, visitor center, and year-round access ideal for birding, picnicking, and cooling off in summer with severe winters.
