Park
Lake Chicot State Park covers 211 acres in Chicot County, Arkansas, along the northern shore of Lake Chicot, the state's largest natural lake at 20 miles long and North America's biggest oxbow lake formed centuries ago from the Mississippi River.
Once polluted, the upper lake was restored in the mid-20th century with a dam, reviving its appeal for bass, crappie, catfish, and bream fishing amid towering cypress trees and pecan groves. Visitors enjoy 122 campsites (many premium with hookups), 14 cabins with kitchens and lake views, a summer swimming pool, playground, screened pavilions, boating ramps, trails, birdwatching on the Mississippi Flyway, and guided lake or levee tours highlighting wildlife and Delta history.
