Village Creek State Park encompasses nearly 7,000 acres across Cross and St. Francis counties in Arkansas along Crowley's Ridge, featuring forested hills, clear streams, and two lakes—Lake Austell and Lake Dunn.
Arkansas's second-largest state park by land area, it opened in 1976 after land acquisition began in 1972 and preserves segments of the historic Old Military Road used as part of the Trail of Tears. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing for bass, bream, catfish, and crappie, 33 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding (with equestrian campground and stables).
