Park
Brush Lake State Park, Montana's sole state park in the northeast corner, lies four miles east of Dagmar in Sheridan County, near the Canadian border and about 30 miles east of Plentywood.
This 450-acre site centers on a striking 280-acre, glacially formed lake reaching 60-65 feet deep with crystal-clear, aquamarine water and sandy beaches amid grassy fields, ideal for swimming, boating, water skiing, canoeing, picnicking, and wildlife or bird watching, though no fishing due to its highly alkaline, ocean-like chemistry used in climate research.
A 12-site campground with RV and tent spots, boat ramp, dock, trails for hiking and biking, vault toilets, potable water, and open day-use hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (May to November or snowfall permitting) make it a remote haven for stargazing, northern lights, and quiet nature escapes.
