This rare prairie water body draws around 100,000 visitors yearly for boating, water skiing, windsurfing from two ramps, and excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, bass, crappie, and state record holders, plus fly fishing below the dam. Campers enjoy 81 reservable electric sites, 80 primitive spots, swimming at Sand Point beach, wildlife viewing of osprey, herons, deer, antelope, and eagles, picnicking, a fish cleaning station, seasonal marina store, and winter ice fishing or skating.
