Salmon Lake State Park spans 42 acres at 3,917 feet elevation on the eastern shore of Salmon Lake, a natural impoundment in the Clearwater River chain of lakes, located five miles south of Seeley Lake, Montana, between the Mission and Swan mountain ranges.
Surrounded by western larch, ponderosa pine, and Douglas-fir forests, it offers boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, and picnicking in a tranquil woodland setting. The park provides 23-24 reservable campsites including electric hookups for RVs up to 25 feet, hike-bike sites, flush and vault toilets, showers, grills, firewood, drinking water, trash service, an amphitheater for programs, and a nearby RV dump station, open seasonally from May to September/October with day-use through November.
