Lake Bob Sandlin State Park spans 639.8 acres along the northern shore of Lake Bob Sandlin in Titus County, Texas, about 10 miles southwest of Mount Pleasant, and was established in 1987 after land acquisition in 1979.
This lakeside park features over three miles of wooded hiking and mountain biking trails, a fishing pier, boat ramp, swimming area, and a trout-stocked pond, with opportunities for boating, paddling, picnicking, geocaching, birdwatching (188 species including bald eagles), and camping in RV sites, cabins, or primitive areas.
Wildlife thrives here at the Piney Woods and Blackland Prairie edge, including white-tailed deer, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, fox squirrels, and fish like Florida bass and channel catfish, drawing 79,274 visitors in 2022; it also preserves the historic Fort Sherman Cemetery.
