Established in 1967 near Flathead Lake, it draws 32,000 visitors yearly for kokanee salmon and yellow perch fishing from a boat ramp and dock, swimming, non-motorized boating, hiking trails rich in wildflowers and wildlife, and birdwatching. The park offers 25 reservable campsites including electric hookups suitable for RVs up to moderate lengths, vault toilets, potable water seasonally, picnic areas, group camping, boat trailer parking, and serene off-the-beaten-path relaxation.
