Established in 2001, this post-oak savannah and bottomland hardwood forest park offers premier fishing for trophy blue catfish over 100 pounds, plus largemouth bass, crappie, and striped bass from shorelines, a pier, boat ramps, and swim beach.
Activities include over five miles of lakeshore for boating, paddling, swimming, 6 miles of equestrian trails, hiking and mountain biking paths, birdwatching with over 200 species, geocaching, and camping in 20 RV/tent sites or primitive areas amid wildlife like deer, hogs, bobcats, and occasional alligators.
