Park
Natural Bridge State Park in Wisconsin, USA, spans 530 acres and centers on the state's largest natural sandstone arch, formed by wind and water erosion and spared by the last Ice Age glaciers.
The arch's opening measures 25 feet high by 35 feet wide, with a rock shelter called Raddatz Rockshelter directly beneath it, a National Register of Historic Places site once used by Paleo-Indians around 11,000 years ago. Located southwest of Baraboo near Leland and Denzer, the day-use-only park features oak woodlands, prairie remnants, rare ferns, and short hiking trails like the 1-mile Indian Moccasin loop to the arch, open seasonally from mid-April to mid-October.
