Park

Siloam Springs State Park spans 3,323 acres across Adams and Brown counties in western Illinois near Clayton, featuring forested hills, deep ravines, wildflower meadows with roses and black-eyed Susans, and a 58-acre lake impounded in 1955 on Crabapple Creek.

Once a 19th-century mineral springs resort drawing health seekers, it became a state recreation area in 1940 through local fundraising and evolved into a full state park by 1956, offering boating, fishing for bass and catfish, hunting in 3,095 acres, 131 Class A and B campsites with showers, 11 miles of hiking trails, picnicking, and birdwatching amid oak-hickory woods.
