Joslyn Castle and Gardens in Omaha, Nebraska, is a historic Scottish Baronial-style mansion built in 1903 as the home of George and Sarah Joslyn, prominent philanthropists and Omaha’s first millionaires.
Designed by local architect John McDonald, the 34-room castle is set on five acres of landscaped gardens created by noted landscape architect Jens Jensen. The estate features formal gardens, greenhouses, and rare botanical collections gathered by Sarah Joslyn.
After serving as headquarters for Omaha Public Schools for several decades, the property is now managed by the Joslyn Castle Trust and serves as a cultural and educational venue offering public tours, events, and private rentals, preserving the legacy and history of the Joslyn family.
